I am Imran Haque, an advocate practising in Dhaka since 2011. I handle company matters, property disputes and family law, and I tell clients early whether a case is worth fighting.
About the Chamber
I read law at the University of Dhaka, was called to the Bar in 2011, and have appeared before the District Courts and the High Court Division since. The chamber is small on purpose: myself, two associates and a clerk, so the person you meet at the first consultation is the person who argues your case. Most of the work falls into three areas. Company work, which is registration, shareholder agreements, contracts and the disputes that follow when those were written badly. Property, which in Dhaka usually means title verification before a purchase, or a mutation and possession fight after one. And family law, which is the part that needs the most patience. I give a written opinion on the merits before taking money for litigation. If your case is weak, you will hear that at the first meeting rather than three years and four lakh later. A settlement you can live with is usually better than a judgment you have to enforce.

A properly drafted notice and negotiation, which settles a good number of matters without a suit. BDT 8,000 - 15,000.
